It was a beautiful day to spend in the woods. The trail is steep for the first couple miles but became less steep near the peak. Enjoyed views of Salton Sea and the dessert to the East and the beautiful pine and oak covered rolling hills in all other directions. After about a half hour at the top we headed back but took the 5 oaks loop trail which added some interesting views around Julian. All in all about 3 hours round trip.
