Started early trying to beat the heat. First time doing this trail, it's a really great hike. Bugs were not really an issue. It was windy about an hour in but this unfortunately only lasted about an hour. Flowers in bloom at beginning. Started to warm up on the trek down. Even though it was shorts weather, was happy wearing long pants to avoid getting scratched up. Will probably take another run at this hike in the fall.
