Found the trailhead after parking our car alongside the road. Was extremely disappointed when motorcycle riders were on our trail. There is a barricade to prevent them from accessing the trail, but they forced their way past it. The rest of the hike was wonderful. Started in the morning before 8am, but temperatures hit 100° while we were walking the last two miles.
