This was an adventurous day, I started the hike with my friends at 7:20 am from Chantry Flats. It was a long, but beautiful hike. The smell and sound of nature was calming. I loved the cute cozy cabins and the magnificent trees. My friends were not the fastest hikers, so i kept moving my feet going back and forward to help and motivate them, that is why I had more steps in. We took a lot of breaks to take selfies so it took us a little over 6 hours to get to the top. We didn't get there till 1:30 pm, but it was so worth it. We took a little longer than expected at the top because after taking so many pictures we had to walk quite a bit to get to the restroom. By the time we were ready to head down it was 3:30 pm. Since we all did not have flashlights we had to take it slow and stay together. It was scary to be in the woods at night, but I am glad I had my friends with me. We helped each other and bonded on a deeper level. We made it back down safely to the parking lot by 7:50 pm. I was a difficult, but beautiful hike. We survived our first Six-Peak Challenge Hike! 1 down 5 to go!!!
