Solo hike (thanks to everyone that commented on my post about doing these alone). Started just after 6a, hit Mt Pinos, Sawmill Mountain and Grouse. 10.34 miles, 6h11mins with breaks. The last mile back to the car kicked my butt because my knee was sore and feet hurt from all the rocks… my Merrill hiking shoes did not provide enough comfort. Weather was cool and in high 50s/low 60s at the start, then jumped up to probably the 70s and lots of sun on the way. back. Bugs were only annoying at Grouse, the rest of the time it was just a lot of fuzzy bumble bees. Super proud of myself! This is the furthest I have ever hiked!
