As with many of my repeat hikes this year, I needed to complete the peak for the SoCal 6POP Challenge, and I was on a mission to locate and document survey marks that I could not find on previous trips. In the case of Mount Wilson, I was explicitly returning to recover the Echo Rock Reference marks. I had the added bonus of making a few surprise survey mark recoveries and, of course, finally got some ice cream at the Cosmic Cafe!
