Like 4 patches of snow remain so I’m counting that as snow free 😉
Started the day right by jumping off the highway and missing the hours of traffic jam from an asphalt truck dumping on the highway and closing it down. But then my car decided to start having issues … but we made it to the trail head.
Parts of the trail requires looking at the AllTrails map to figure out where we were going – there are not any signs directing you! So one of the group missed the turnoff to the Sawmill peak (she was ahead) but waited for us after hearing Grouse was hard to find. Grouse required using the map as well to find the peak signs – the cairns placed at the top of the trail were not the final ending point! But we managed to find them all and hit Sawmill on the way back.
I definitely felt the incline was different at this altitude!
but yay for finishing another peak and the 321 challenge at the same time! I have dubbed it the 32123 tho since if you get to grouse you have to go to Sawmill and Pinos again on the way back – it’s an out and back!
