Somehow I manage to convince an even LARGER group of friends to hike Sawmill + 2 other peaks. Also known as the 3-2-1 Challenge. I hiked that last November with a different group and to be quite honest I thought it was a longer hike. This time around it felt short and I feel like I was chatting the whole way there and back.
We started a little later than I would have liked, but I think that everyone enjoyed the challenge. Since the drive there and back can be a pain in the butt, we decided to get a campsite at Chuchupate, approximately 35 minutes away from the trail head.
The trail was as beautiful as I remembered and it was not as windy (which was good). On the way down we did encounter more hikers, though I don't think everyone was prepared to go to Grouse.
I think I should be camping more often 🙂
