We completed the 3.2.1 challenge
Wow~ what a big day…
I feel truly grateful, we made it to the summit of Sitton Peak yesterday because I stepped right over/above/to the side of this rattle snake. You can see my shoe mark right next to it’s face. I didn’t even see it until Heather said~ “snake”
OMGosh, I’m counting my blessings today because we were the only ones on this trail and it happened at the summit.
It would have been a tough situation had it have bitten one of us. It was curled up right in the middle of the trail. I thought it was a rock, it blended in so well. After being bitten before by a rattlesnake I truly am grateful this time wasn’t worse.
We were the only ones on the trail until the very end. We saw one person starting as we were finishing.
We completed 10 miles and for me…reached my third Six-Pack~of Peaks challenge this year. Heather has done Sitton 4x this year.
And, the candy store
has new ownership and is open for business ~ they want everyone to know…Google says they are closed-but they are open. I brought home
homemade cookies
for my family and Heather and I treated ourselves to some fudge, icee and treats for our families.
