Cool crisp air was refreshing after arriving, not even 24 hours, from the hot humid heat of Texas. It was pleasing to have scheduled a moderate hike after feeling slightly jet lagged from almost two weeks in another state. New insoles, new poles and compression knee sleeves to accommodate some hiking pains I've been experiencing. It was the perfect hike to acclimate to higher elevations as well as break in some new gear.
