Spent my 39th Birthday hiking up to Mount Wilson to complete my first six pack hike of 2020!
While everyone below lived with the marine layer for the entire day, it was an absolute gorgeous day up on the mountain. Sunny skies, and very warm with stunning cloud formations.
There were people out and about, but it wasn’t packed on the trails or at the summit.
There is significant erosion on parts of the trail, which made for some squirrely maneuvering on edges with steep drop offs. There were also quite a few downed trees to navigate around. I came down the Mount Wilson trail on my return and encountered an *abundance* of poodle dog bush for the first two miles. So much so, that there were a few points where I had to twist and turn my body very carefully as I was going by to avoid brushing any of my clothes or gear against it.
All in all, a great day for a hike, and as always, every fellow hiker I encountered was friendly and fun to chat with!
