Very challenging in the snow. We did not use crampons but probably should have in a few areas. Several spots were covered in snow and it was not easy to tell where the actual trail was or wasn't. We were thankful for those who climbed before us as we were able to use their tracks as guides, which sometime was a false sense of security but did help for sure. We got off trail for quite a while on this one because of the lack of clarity due to the snow and no trail markers. The rocky terrain towards the top made it seem like you were taking 1 step forward and sliding 3 steps back and was very difficult to keep your footing on the way down. This hike took us over 12 hours in total and it was the first one that made us reconsider our abilities. However, once we were done, so glad to have accomplished it!
