My friends group the Trail Turtles planed this hike but I has parental duties and only had time to hit the saddle and back. I scheduled it again but got strep. My third attempt was a success. I knew this trail pretty well so I lead my friend Villiam and this was her first peak. She loved it. This hike is one of my favorites and doesn’t disappoint. The parking is easy, so is getting the permit at the trailhead. She doesn’t hike as much as me but she was a strong hiker. We hit the trail at 6:30, made the saddle by 9:30 and made the summit around 11:30. We relaxed and had our lunch, took some photos and headed back down. We were back to my car by 3:00ish I finished my six pack and she bagged her first peak. It was a super successful day.
