Took me longer than expected to climb those 40 switchbacks, but the views were beautiful. The weather was nice and cool, a bit overcast for the way up but the sun was shining on the way down. The trail was well maintained but too narrow to walk side by side with my hiking partner. I was quite surprised how busy this trail is, we got there at 7 and found one of two parking spaces left. I’d advise going earlier to avoid having to find roadside parking. There are bathrooms available, they were permanent outhouses, if you dare to venture in, have a strong stomach, they could use with a regular maintenance and cleaning. Overall a lovely hike with a lot of shade and beautiful views.
