Peak #5 of the 2022 SoCal Six Pack of Peaks Challenge and Hike #7 of the 52 Hike Challenge.

Met up with my friend Lisa Beasley and drove up to the Mount Wilson Trail in Sierra Madre. We began the hike up right around 7am. Once at the summit we wandered around for about and hour and had lunch at a great lookout with awesome views of the San Gabriels and the surrounding mountain ranges.

The trail was almost completely clear of snow. Just a few small patches near the summit. There were a few hikers on the trail, all behind us, and several hikers at the lower elevations just getting in a few miles.

The weather today was great. Mid 50's in the am, about 60 at the summit and upper 70's when we finished.

Lisa and I logged 15.25 miles in less than 7 hours (moving time) and had just over 5,200 feet in elevation gain.
