This is a great hike. VERY muddy and slippery (icy). You will get to climb up a river over rocks. Very cool Be! Be careful and take your time. I had to use my micro spikes many times up and down on this trail.  We heard lots of birds chirping away as we hiked up to the peak. When you hit the service road there was a lot of black ice. Be careful. Someone in my group took a nasty fall. When you get to the top make sure your climb up to the left. There are 3 geo survey markers also the Cuyamaca Peak sign. Make sure you put the rock on top of it so it does not blow away. We went down the service road. Patches of slippery ice and snow. Overall a great hike.
