i did it!! with all of the covid closures, wildfires, air quality problems, 100+ degree temperatures, not having any gear or training for snow hiking, and everything else 2020 brought, i was not sure i was actually going to get six peaks done. but i made it! peak number six was mount woodson / potato chip. and maaaaaan were there a lot of people. i was figuring during the week it wouldn't be so bad, but i forgot it's a holiday week (sort of). i had heard a lot about the lines for people taking pictures at potato chip but it boggles my mind really… Instagram has taken over. but at least those people got some cardio along the way… ????
so all in all, a good hike, about an hour and a half moving time to summit, and about 45 minutes to an hour down although my all trails map recording deleted itself halfway down so i don't have the exact time moving. beautiful views, perfect weather today. a little bit muddy on the trail from the rains yesterday but all in all the only complaint i have is a number of people not wearing masks.
excited to have completed my six pack and contemplating the 2021 challenge. of course!
see you at the party! ????
