Burn areas are recovering nicely and it was good to see old growth trees that survived the fire and thriving.
The best part was the hike to San Bernardino East Peak which was not affected by the wildfires and the forest and hike was beautiful.
I strongly suggest to do this extra 2 miles of hiking and checkout the hike to San Bernardino East Peak, if you have the time and stamina.
