Everything about this hike was perfect: weather, drive, the length, and the companionship. Since the peak is more wide open than most we chatted with fellow hikers. There are a lot of switchbacks, but the hike’s not bad. If it was any hotter I would start earlier in the day since the trail down gets sunnier.
Parking is paid through a third party, but they kindly left a pay envelope on our car and we paid on the way out. I believe it’s $5. We thought our Adventure Pass covered it, but it didn’t.
