This was a beautiful hike! We started early and were rewarded a cool accent. We chose the south Fork TH its less elevation gain than Vivian Creek TH, however, you still put some work in and the longer trail makes for a pleasant hike overall. The trail if filled with loose rocks most the way which can make the descent rough and there are a handful of trees down. Challenging if yo have short legs!

I had never hiked around the South fork trailhead and I would definitely go hike there again. Lots of wild flowers and the elderberries were fully ripe. It was a beautiful day!!
