This is my absolute favorite hike so far! It's smooth sailing along the ridgeline with gorgeous vistas the whole way. The hike gets tougher after Lawlor Saddle but is always rewarding. Small bits of snow remain in the shade.
A great group had gathered at the summit, and luckily, I had strawberries to share!
The drive to and from Red Box is just as rewarding — great views and loads of great cars.
I would do this hike over and over again. And don't forget your parking pass — many people were ticketed when we returned.
