Started the hike at 930 am and sprayed bug repellent but didn't noticed any bugs activity till 4 miles in. The trail was very smooth for the most part but there were some rocky areas. The weather was over cast and cool with light rain lasted for 4 miles of hike. Quickly started to see California western toads not to far away from the creek on the trail, and scenery was amazing and very green with many different plant life through out the whole trail. Saw hikers, and campers through out the hike and all were friendly. Reach the summit after around 2 hours and a half with a a pace of 30mins per mile. Nice and cloudy sky with gorgeous views that made enjoying some snacks and a beer that much more enjoyable. Spend 3 hours before heading back at 330pm and saw a pair of deer and a few hiker. Reach the trailhead at 7pm. Great hike and only used 2 liters of water from my 3 liter bladder. Totally recommend this hike.
