Started early under crisp blue skies from the Vincent Gap Trailhead. Weather was very cold, but warmed up quickly as we climbed up the trail under a bright sun on fresh powder. The first thing that became very apparent was, we had great weather. No winds made this an amazing day. Snow drifts obscured the trail in some places and we had to search for the next switch back. We put on our micro spikes about 2/3 of the way to the top and for the way down, of course. What a beautiful hike. Saw just two others on the trail come up after us. The day was lovely, quiet and peaceful in snow covered woods, and we really didn't want to leave, but nonetheless, we made our way to the Grizzly Cafe and enjoyed some tasty burgers before heading back home.
