This was a nice hike. Second time around so I knew what to expect, which was great views of the Spring and Stonewall Peak. Hiking along the creek near the beginning, I did use my head net for the bugs. Once out of the creek area, we found some nice views and started a steady ascent. There are some technical areas, lot of loose rocks on the climb up. Still some wildflowers around the trail and took some nice birdshots. Trail went in and out of shade which was nice. Looped around the ridge and meadow. After the meadow was a nice meadow with more views. Just after the meadow was a small grove of pine trees then we were at the junction to where the loop section began (mainly service road). You can go up and back to the summit via this fire road which is a shorter route but it's a pretty steep relentless climb to the summit so coming back down wasn't that easy. From the junction up to the summit was also a hard slog. At the top there's some rocks to sit and enjoy the views. It was a pretty pleasant day and not as cold and windy as the first time. Had to hunt and work around large boulders for the register and sign which is close to the edge of the tower.
