This was the most difficult hike of all the peaks, in my opinion. The steep downhill, then uphill around miles 4-6 are a killer. I lost the hiking group during the uphill, so was on my own for the remaining 10 miles.
There's no cell coverage until you get to the top of the highest peak and you must carry enough water, especially in the summer and fall. There was none anywhere on the trail. Not sure I'd do it again as the trail is mostly a fire road and not much coverage. I'm guessing this would be a better hike in the spring when water is flowing.
