This challenge year we decided we would embark on a trail to Wilson that we don’t often take. We started out at Pinecrest Drive. It’s a residential area so you have to be mindful of parking signs. The day was overcast with restricted visibility at times. In the last half mile there was a few patches of snow, but nothing you couldn’t easily get around. Once at the summit the sky parted and the sun came out. The view above the clouds was a nice change. Mount Wilson is one of the peaks that I only do in in Winter or Fall because it heats up in the Spring and Summer months. The cloudy day made for good weather for a nearly 20 mile hike.
