I can't complement this trail enough! The trail is perfectly maintained. The signs were well positioned and even included sign posts to keep you updated on how far you had travelled (e.g. 1 mile, 1.5 miles, 2 miles, 3 miles). The trail is about 4 feet wide and smooth with a dirt surface for the most part. There are three professionally designed bridges on the trail that looked essentially new. The trail is mainly in forest with occasional open areas. I kept my eyes out for critters but only saw a few squirrels and one rabbit. The poison oak was nicely back from the trail. And for those of you who like hikes in cooler temperatures, today was perfect: temperature in the 50's, foggy but not drizzling. It made the hike very enjoyable (and was especially nice since I really sweat a lot on hot, sunny days). If today was a typical morning on this trail I can't recommend it high enough!
