I hiked up to Mount San Jacinto Peak via Marion Mountain with 3H Orange County Hiking Group. I kept the CoVid-19 protocols throughout the entire hike. I wore my face mask/ covering and kept a 6 feet social distance on the hiker in front and in the back of me.
This trail was very challenging for me. I was struggling the entire time. It was a little windy and chilly. That may played a part why I was so sluggish. But the views were breathtaking. I took alot of breaks and slowly crawled up to Mount San Jacinto Peak. Surprisingly, it was warm and no wind up at Mount San Jacinto Peak. I basked in the views. I did a photo shoot up here. I later went down to the shelter to have lunch. I ate my lunch and went down. OMG! Coming down was worst than going up. It was so stretchy and steep. I made baby steps to be safe. It took me longer coming down than going up.
What a great training I had on my Mount San Jacinto Peak. Although this was a sufferfest, but the views were all worth it.
