We couldn't have picked a better day to hike! I live in Big Bear Lake and we have several great hikes up here. But Cucamonga Peak was my first “Big” Hike of the season. The weather was perfect! Hiking when it is too warm out can be pretty tiring but the weather was in the 60s and it felt great. There were clouds rolling in. Not rain clouds, but foggy clouds that we got to see peaking through the mountains on our way up. We got to the peak and the clouds were beautiful. We stood on the rock overlooking the city below and clouds. What a view! I am super excited to move on to the next peak, and then on August 18th, Mt. Whitney for the second time!
