Date: March 22nd, 2024
Temperature: 54 at start of trail, 43 at peak
Total Distance Hiked: 6.91 Miles (Approximately 7 miles)
Trail Conditions: Clear with a few wet spots from the melted snow, yucca plants were out to prick your skin, pants so be careful
Description: We went to hike the trail right after work on a Friday afternoon before the weekend rains came in. There was only a group a 5 people and 1 solo hiker on the hike. The hike was peaceful & clear with the clouds over the LA landscape with only the other mountains visible. The snow peak mountains were visible and clear in the background as well. No animals and snakes seen on a trail. Once we got to the real part of the hike (the last ½ of mile) the wind picked up and it got cold fast. We pushed through and made it to the stop and back down before dark. Give it a shot as it is moderate/hard but doable if you keep your mind to it.
