As we drove up, I was worried that we would be hiking in the fog but as we got close to the trailhead, we broke through to blue skies. We started the hike at 8:30am. It was a little muddy in places but not as much as I feared. The elevation rise is fairly gentle over the 4 mile ascent. No wildlife this time but the last time we hiked here in October 23, we saw deer and one lazy rattlesnake making his way across the path. At the top, the usually magnificent view was amazing but in a different way. We looked out at a fog covered valley – very quiet and ethereal. It took us less than 3 hours to complete the hike.
