Adrenaline Rush

Trailhead:

Icehouse Canyon

Trail Conditions:

ROAD:

Bugs:

Snow:

We had to reschedule this hike two times based upon weather conditions. A week before there were snow flurries and when we summited there was not a patch of snow in sight. We prepared for the worse (even packing yaktraks) but it ended up being a very warm, clear and beautiful day. So worth the work. The switchbacks were decent and not too extreme but we started slowing down right before the summit and had no idea how close were were and how awe-inspiring the view was at the top. Once we summited and witnessed the spectacular view in front of us, we were awestruck, had shivers on our skin and felt an adrenaline rush as it was quite a sight to behold! We really enjoyed this one and it was worth the wait! We did this on a Tuesday so there were very few hikers on the trail which was nice because some of the portions of the trail are extremely narrow and make it difficult navigating passing someone coming from the other direction. Overall, it was a great hike that filled me with strength, empowerment and a yearning to summit another peak sooner than later!
