Amazing hike today. Perfect weather. About 38 degrees when we got out of our car at 6:45. By 9 am, it was warmer. Bugs came out at 10. 4 downed trees blocking the fire road that we had to hike around or hike over/under. No one on the trail until 12 when we were leaving. The whole mountain to ourselves! A small gopher snake, squirrels, and deer and mountain lion tracks! The ropes at the peak helped get up, but sketchy on the way down. Beautiful day. Very peaceful.
