This was my first wet-season hike in SoCal. Mount Wilson was by far the most beautiful hike yet….I know, “Mount Wilson!”. Our group had “Six Pack of Peaks” first-timers and a few doing the NoCal, SoCal and Oregon challenges this year. It was like hiking this trail on two different days. Warm and calm all the way to the top through Sturtevant Camp . There was water everywhere but the crossing were easy. The wind was waiting for us when we got to the top and the storm rolled in and it started to hail. The hail chased us half-way down the mountain. We were about half mile from the parking lot and the rain came down in buckets. BEST HIKE YET!
