The last of our 2022 peaks, this was a bit more than advertised! The 18.4 miles, was just over 20, and the number signs were repeated, so you would see narkerb27, and then another marker 27, which made me not know when I would ever reach the summit! It started raining late in the afternoon, but we were prepared with the right clothing, and headlamps. The cows were right out along the trail and gave us pause a few times. One calf was separated from its mom, through a gate, and they were mooing quite loudly. The weather was perfect at the start, and the views of the wilderness are stunning. One of the most remote peaks, be sure to prepare to be self sufficient.
