My wife and I found this to be a modest but consistently engaging hike. Which is to say, 8 gradual, shaded miles is going to look like a cake walk compared to the other peaks to come in the San Francisco Bay Area Six Pack, but it still made for very good exercise. The views of San Jose and the South Bay from the top were great and we could even make out the ocean in the West. My wife particularly loved the monolithic radio building at the peak, which she may have described as Lynchian. This is a nice way to start off the Challenge and it has made me beyond excited to do the rest. Onward to Diablo (a mountain I grew up in the shadow of) and ever more dazzling views!
