Heaps of street parking upon arrival. I hit the trail at 6:15am on a Thursday morning and went for long stretches without seeing a single soul at all. Beautiful, lush and very quiet. Certainly not an easy climb. A kind of relentless ascent upwards. Bring your trekking poles, if that’s your thing. Your joints will definitely thank you, especially on the way down.
The occasional sketchy edge to traverse over and some felled trees to dodge here and there, but otherwise a really well-maintained trail. A very beautiful, pleasant hike, especially on overcast day when not competing with the heat or exposure of the sun. That said, with the total fog coverage on my hike the top really had no view at all, so if I was to do it again it’d be when it’s sunny.
A great hike in Los Angeles!
