This was a beautiful hike. Started at about 5:40a. With all the shade it didn’t feel as warm as the 80 degrees or so that it was.

Not the easiest hike but it was enjoyable. Just busy enough to not feel alone but not so busy that you’re weaving in and out of people. Lots of little spots to rest in the shade and a cafe at the top to refresh, have a bathroom break, and check out the little museum 🙂

I would definitely go back. DEFINITELY bring bug spray. As soon as you hit the areas that are blooming, there are big flies everywhere and they bite! There are so many it feels like they’re following you.
Also, lots of mosquitos.

As for wildlife, saw lots of lizards, squirrels, various birds, and a deer that hopped on the trail right in front of me! Missed the photo opp though 🙁
