Through overgrown brush, plants that have sharp poky thingies, a trail that is too narrow and on the ledge of the mountain for my liking, tired legs and 2 cramps on my inner thighs, I managed to summit Berryessa Peak and finally complete the Bay Area Six Peak Challenge and finish all 9 peaks. It was tough not only because of the trail conditions, but my feet, toes, ankles and knees are still recuperating from the 570 mile walk/hike I did last month. But also felt happy to have done it. It was a beautiful clear day to do this hike; the views were gorgeous, the weather was perfect; and I am so thankful my friend and hiking buddy Sardar Hameed cane along. It is not a hike I would recommend for anyone to do on their own just because of the trail conditions.
