Yikes. This is a nice hike, but on a hot day with thousands of red ants, swarming bees, winged red ants in skeletal trees, poodle dog bushes and yucca scraping your legs – not for the faint of heart.
Summitted around 11 AM with my three boys, but spent only minutes on the summit due to swarming bees and flying red ants. A bizarre scene.
Views of Baldy, San Jacinto and Catalina Island from the summit were highlights as well as spending time with my boys!
If you try this one, go early on a cool day and wear long pants! 🙂
