Even though I read that others had trouble with getting to the trailhead, I still used Apple Maps and it took me to the wrong trailhead. I finally used Waze and I got to the right spot. So beware.
The road up is passable by all vehicles, but it is a forest service road, so take your time and you will make it.
The hike was great – This was my third hike in three days and this hike really gets you with the elevation gain. The smoke cleared and had great views.
