I started about 12:24pm and got back to my car about 5pm
I had already attempted this trail in the 13th of this month. I totally missed Birabent Canyon Trail. I ended up taking Upper Loop, Red Rock Canyon and Back Country Trails. Used the Senior Cutoff Trail to get back. Got way off course and used my iPhone navigation to locate my car and get back to the trailhead.
logged a little over 7 miles
I was determined to return and complete the hike to the summit. And I did!!! I crossed the creek three times, this time I didn’t leave my phone in the car 😂. The climb to the top once passing the lone oak tree was treacherous. This was harder to climb up than Bunting Trail in Kanab, Utah. I reached the summit, no marker but a large peace sign formed out of rocks. I even walked through trees and sat where I could see Figueroa Mountain. It got cloudy up there. I even fell on my way down and used my gaiter as a dressing, couldn’t find my emergency kit lol.
