I decided to head back to Mount Baldy this time doing the loop clockwise through Baldy Bowl Trail. It was a great decision going clockwise instead of counter clockwise. Going clockwise, especially in the morning, the sun is behind the mountain, there is plenty of shade, so you avoid the heat of the sun beating down on you. There is so many rest stops, including the San Antonio Ski Hut, where you can stop for a break under a shade and enjoy the beautiful scenery. When I reached to the summit, there were moments of moderate winds but I was so surprised that the weather was quite comfortable. As I descended from the summit, the wind was very strong between the summit and Mount Harwood. When I reached to the Devil's Backbone, I braved it through despite the strong wind. I made it through the Devil's Backbone without any fear and I will do it again. When I reached The Notch, I hitch a scenic and relaxing ride on the ski lift down to the parking area. The weather was nice.
