The hike started out great. The weather was beautiful and the trail was surprisingly easy for the first few miles. I kept saying that it wasn't fair that Baden Powell could possibly be an alternate for Mt Wilson. After three hours of hiking however, I suddenly changed by tone when I realized that the switchbacks albeit repetitive and somewhat boring, really do gradually become more difficult as you progress up the mountain. As the weather warmed up and the terrain became more challenging, Baden-Powell seemed to become more of a competitor to Wilson. I have to say that I thoroughly enjoyed the beautifully covered trail and the views from up there were absolutely stunning. I would say that Baden-Powell is as beautiful as San Jacinto! The panoramic views were incredibly impressive! I couldn't stop taking pictures and commenting on that epic view. Baden Powell was a great way to end the challenge!
