We got started around 7:30 am, give or take, and the weather was on point, cool , crisp, and warm as the sun was rising. The trail consists of a moderate switchback path with patches of shade from the towering pines. Smells of cedar most of the way. I found the incline to be moderate but steady. The path is narrow and clear most of the way, give or take a few patches of snow as you are scaling the peak. Nothing too extreme, poles did help though. The view from the peak was GLORIOUS! I especially enjoyed seeing the clouds hovering over the valley and witnessing the towering mountain tops above them. It was rather windy and nippy at the top, but the view was so worth it. The way back down was breezy, although congested at times with other hikers passing by due to the narrow path.
Overall, I felt great throughout this hike and enjoyed the scenery and challenge. I definitely recommend this hike to others and would do it again!
