Took a different route up to Mt. Baden-Powell today. Instead of taking the switchbacks up from Vincent Gap, we decided to try it from Dawson Saddle. On the way back we also went up Mt. Burnham and Throop. Weather was perfect. Always like to say hi to the Wally Waldron tree. On the way back we drove into Wrightwood for a bite to eat. We past the parking are at Vincent Gap and it was mobbed. People were even parking on the side of Angeles Crest. Crazy!! I've never seen it like that before. My husband and I were grateful that we didn't come up that way! Will definitely come up the Dawson Gap route again. I do actually like doing those switchbacks out of Vincent Gap, but coming from Dawson you get wide open views in every direction so it was a nice change.
