6/16/2023. Attempted to summit last March 4 but the waist-deep snow (pix included) slowed us down significantly and afraid we wouldn't make it to our turn-around-time. I think we reached about a mile below the summit!! But it was still a good experience. So today, we took the ski hut route up and down via Devil's backbone which offered spectacular views both ways. Generally snow-free until a quarter mile to the summit where there is still a significant amount of snow; but didn't need spikes. We were above the clouds!
