The weather was beautiful. Partly cloudy with clouds increasing in the afternoon. There were lots of people on the trail. We started at we went up through the saddle and Devil's backbone. A small patch of snow (maybe 20 feet) before devils backbone. Then a larger snow crossing near the summit. On the way down there were several snow crossings including one large crossing (about 100 yards). All snow crossings have been compacted. They are a little slippery, but manageable with trekking poles. Microspikes would have made the snow easier to cross. Had lunch at the summit and went down to the ski hut. The ski hut is interesting to look at and, if you ask the host, they may let you go in to check it out.
