The hike was incredible! We started a little late, so it was warmer than I expected. The trail started out gradual, but soon became steep, very steep. There were great views almost the entire hike, and shade was always close by. It was very windy at the summit, and the towers were interesting. We didn't acclimate ahead of time, but fortunately I brought an oxyen bottle. This hike kicked our butts (we live at 1,100′ elevation). Our entire journey was 6 hours, 1.5 hours of breaks including lunch. Unless there are thunderstorms Humphreys is next!
