I started this hike at sunrise and conditions were perfect! Clear skies and not too hot or cold.
I think this trail is known for its many false summits, and I could see why. You can see the summit about 1.5 miles in, but I would have never guessed all that mountain was back there! You don’t see the summit, or even a majority of the mountain, from the parking lot. So how far in I went was a surprise.
It’s a bit of a scramble with some steep climbs, but still an incredibly beautiful hike with views over Fay Canyon.
